Linen Napkin Marbling Workshop

Saturday August 15th
10am - 12pm

Nickey Kehoe Showroom
7266 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA

Registration is limited to 15. Cost includes all materials and supplies.

Join us for a marbling workshop with JJ Ansuini of Ansuini & Co, a marbling studio based in Florence, Italy. Participants will learn a brief history of marbling and try their hand at several techniques and patterns developed over 500 years ago. Using combs, rakes and styluses, each guest will marble two sets of linen cotton cocktail napkins (12 napkins in total) in a palette developed for Nickey Kehoe.

There is no prior experience, nor fine art skill required, whatsoever. All materials are included and will have been prepared in advance. JJ will be very happy to remain in touch and show you how to make the preparations at home, once you get addicted!

JJ Ansuini is an American marbling artist based in Florence, Italy, where she first learned the near-endangered artform. After just one class and she was hooked on the process ... the flow of the colors spreading on the size, the utter lack of control and complete surrender required. Ansuini & Co was born in 2018. Working with local artisans, she has her papers made into products such as lampshades, books, and desk accessories for clients around the world. Her practice creates custom patternwork and products for individuals, interior designers and interior-focused retail stores. She also regularly teaches workshops out of her Florence studio.
